I had to write and tell you how much Zoe loves her treasure basket. One of the highlights of each day is to make a cup of tea and sit and watch her playing with such contentment for up to half an hour. She will pick up each item, studiously examine it, bang two pieces together, make a pile at the side of the basket, and more. I leave her propped up with pillows as she can't sit for long by herself but that is improving given how much she concentrates on her play. We added a shell to her basket today after a trip to the seaside, so it will keep growing too. Thank you so much.

Your treasure basket has been put together with your baby in mind by myself Sarah Scothern a childcare professional.
With over 15 years experience in a nursery enviroment I have been able to see the interaction between babies and treasure baskets and the benefits they bring.
Both of my own children benefited greatly from exploring a treasure basket and my youngest at 14 months still goes back to it to explore some more.
Why are treasure baskets a valuable learning experience
Mainly babies learn through exploration and experience. A treasure basket brings many items into reach that your baby may not haver had the opportunity to handle.
Your child will learn to :
Make simple choices and demonstrate preferences
Fine motor control and hand/eye co-ordination
Concentrate theri attention for considerable amounts of time
Develop their ability to grasp and manipulate objects of their interest
Play using natural materials which are open ended - no right or wrong way of use
As you have probably seen my video above (yes I was nervous making it !) I shall list the items included in the treasure basket you will be receiving.
Included with your treasure basket are:
Wicker Basket Drawstring bag to keep the dust off the contents when not in use. Instructions and guidance notes
